Empowering church members to share the transformative love of Christ and actively engage with the community, fostering spiritual growth and discipleship.
Ellen Healy has been a resident of Madison County for 31 years and is married to Rusty Healy. They have two daughters, Nicole Attaway (Daniel) and Julialeigh Kindred (Kyle). She has been employed with Trustmark National Bank for over 37 years, while working remote and part time the last 26 years.
Ellen is passionate about serving others. She volunteered at her daughters' schools from kindergarten to graduation while also serving at church. She served as a brownie/GS leader for both her daughters troop. She has served in many capacities at St Matthew’s UMC. Ellen was co-chair for the children’s council, served as a youth counselor for 15 years, college ministry chair, outreach chair for 7 years, instrumental on creating the church’s partnership with Trinity Mission Center in Forest MS, therefore was a member of the leadership council for 15 plus years.
Ellen is currently a board member of Hope Hollow Ministries for special needs serving those 5-21 years. She also is leading efforts of outreach for Wellspring at Salt and Light Ministry in Honduras, Maadcap, Manger Mission program, Kairos Prison Ministry, Hope Hollow Ministries and Shower Power. Her wish would be for every member/visitor of Wellspring Church to be involved on a regular basis with one of the many outreach/evangelism opportunities that will be offered, whether it is as simple as gathering items needed to help a local ministry or serving in person, being the liaison between the local ministries and outreach team or bringing a new outreach opportunity to the church. We want Wellspring Church to be mission minded and known as a church that cares and is actively involved.
