Crown Him with Many Crowns

PSALM 15

O Lord, who may abide in Your tent?  Who may dwell on Your holy hill?

He who walks with integrity, and works righteousness,  And speaks truth in his heart.

He does not slander with his tongue, Nor does evil to his neighbor, Nor takes up a reproach against his friend;

In his eyes, a reprobate is despised, But he honors those who fear the Lord;

He swears to his own hurt and does not change; He does not put out his money at interest,

Nor does he take a bribe against the innocent. He who does these things will never be shaken.

Psalm 15 reminds us of the attributes of those who dwell in the presence of the Almighty—integrity, righteousness, and truth. These qualities align beautifully with the lyrics of this Sunday’s set list, which exalts Jesus Christ as the King of kings and Lord of lords.  We must walk in the way worthy of the King in our daily lives.

In worship, we humble ourselves before the throne, acknowledging Jesus as the rightful ruler of our lives. As we crown Him with many crowns, we recognize His sovereignty and majesty. Yet, our worship extends beyond mere adoration; it compels us to love one another as Christ loves us.

Just as David describes the upright person who honors God and treats others with respect, our worship is incomplete without a genuine love for our brothers and sisters.  As we lift our voices in praise and bow our hearts in humility, let us also extend the hands of love and grace to those around us, embodying the essence of true worship.

Wellspring, you do this well.

Each Sunday at 4:40PM, there is an opportunity for you to be a part of an intentional prayer focus to ask the Holy Spirit to grace our worship with His presence. This has become my favorite part of our Sundays together. Peggy Grissett is graciously filling in for me this week. Please join her in praying over our time in the Lord together. Thank you to Wanda Shivers, Janet Henderson and Holly Gage for standing in the gap last Sunday.

I also want to thank those who are so kindly reaching out with encouragement and suggestions. Your feedback is valued more than you know.  Keep it coming!

For His glory, and because I love you,

Stacy Johnson
