Teaching and Leading Bible-Centered Discussions
January 5 | 6PM–8PM
Core Learning Resource: How to Read the Bible for All Its Worth by Gordon Fee and Douglas Stuart
Overview
Session 5, Teaching and Leading Bible-Centered Discussions, trains disciple-makers to engage Scripture with clarity, faithfulness, and relevance. This session emphasizes guiding others into deeper understanding and application of God’s Word through thoughtful, Spirit-led conversation—not just lecture or content delivery.
Primary Learning Outcomes
- Interpret Scripture Faithfully and Responsibly. Learners will develop basic skills for understanding the context, structure, and theological meaning of biblical texts in order to teach them accurately.
- Lead Engaging and Christ-Centered Bible Discussions. Participants will learn how to facilitate conversations that keep Scripture at the center while drawing out insight, application, and response from group members.
- Ask Questions that Promote Reflection and Growth. Learners will practice crafting open-ended, thought-provoking questions that move beyond facts to personal transformation.
