The Promise of Advent: The Hope of His Coming

In this first message of our Advent series, we look to Isaiah 9:2–7 and discover the hope that God shines into our darkest places. The world Isaiah described—and the world we know—waits under the shadow of despair, sin, and confusion. Yet into that darkness God promises a coming King: the Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace. Our hope doesn’t rest on what we can accomplish but on God’s unbreakable faithfulness. As we begin the Advent season, we are invited to live with confident hope, trusting that the God who promised the Messiah is the God who always keeps His promises.
