Harry Milton Easley, Sr.

Harry Milton Easley, Sr., 92, of Madison, MS, passed away on November 28, 2025, at home surrounded by his wife and family.

Harry was born on November 12, 1933, in Port Gibson, MS, to Oby W. Easley, Sr. and Pauline Peck Easley. He grew up loving the outdoors, especially hunting. As a young teenager he also developed a passion for farming—growing everything from corn and ryegrass to tending cows. These early loves stayed with him throughout his life.

Harry’s other passion was high school sports, especially football. He was such a good athlete, he played with the high school at a younger age and was chosen as a captain on all the sports teams he played on. Although he earned a scholarship to Co-Lin, sports took a backseat when he returned home after several months to the love of his life, Joyce Perkins. They married soon after and celebrated their 74th anniversary in 2025.

She was the beloved wife of Joe Tubb for 65 years. They shared a unique and romantic beginning, having met at the Neshoba County Fair when Joe was performing with The Rolling Stones—the original band, decades before the famous group with Mick Jagger. Having lost her parents before her marriage, her bond with Joe and their children became especially deep and treasured.

Jane was a devoted member of Wellspring Church in Madison, where she found great strength and fellowship. An avid tennis enthusiast, she channeled her passion into her career as a long-time employee at The Sportique tennis store in Jackson, where she connected with countless players and fans of the sport.

Sara had a passion for helping and caring for others, which included her teaching dental hygienist students, volunteering at Hinds General Hospital, and supporting multiple generations of her family. She was a faithful servant of the Lord and an avid church member and supporter.

As the caring matriarch of her family, Sara was driven to love, provide, and always be present for her family, friends, and animals over the years. She enjoyed and took pride in making clothing, quilts, and accessories for her loved ones to use.
