APRIL 27–MAY 25
In the weeks following Easter, Risen and Reigning invites the Wellspring Church family to journey through the post-resurrection appearances of Jesus, encountering the risen Lord just as His first disciples did—locked in fear, burdened by shame, caught in comparison, and uncertain of their place in the mission. Each week explores a different encounter with the risen Christ, highlighting how He meets us not in perfection, but in our vulnerability—bringing peace, restoration, calling, and purpose.
From locked rooms to lakesides, from Galilee to the Mount of Ascension, Jesus is not only alive—He is reigning. And in His reigning power, He still comes near to breathe peace, lift shame, redefine our calling, and send us into the world with Spirit-filled confidence.
This series helps us answer questions like:
- What does the resurrection mean for my everyday life?
- How does Jesus respond to my doubts, failures, and comparisons?
- What does it mean to live sent in the power of the risen King?

Week 1: Peace in the Middle of It All

- Big Idea: The risen Christ enters our locked rooms of fear and confusion with peace and power.
- Application: We don’t need perfect faith—just open hearts. Jesus breathes peace and mission into those who are still unsure.
Week 2: Restored by Love
- Date: May 4, 2025
- Text: John 21:15–19
- Theme: Jesus Restores What Shame Tried to Steal
- Big Idea: The risen Jesus meets us in our failure—not to condemn, but to restore and recommission.
- Application: Let go of shame. If Jesus can restore Peter, He can restore you.
Week 3: What Is That to You?
- Date: May 11, 2025
- Text: John 21:20–23
- Theme: Stop Comparing—Just Follow
- Big Idea: Our calling is to follow Jesus, not to compete with or compare ourselves to others.
- Application: In a world full of comparison, fix your eyes on the unique path Christ has called you to walk.
Week 4: All Authority, All Nations
- Date: May 18, 2025
- Text: Matthew 28:16–20
- Theme: The Risen Jesus Sends His Church into the World
- Big Idea: Jesus, with all authority in heaven and on earth, sends us with His presence and power to make disciples.
- Application: You are not just saved—you are sent. Live on mission with confidence.
Week 5: Lifted Up, Sent Out
- Date: May 25, 2025
- Text: Acts 1:1–11
- Theme: The Ascended Christ Reigns—And We Are His Witnesses
- Big Idea: Jesus didn’t leave—He ascended to reign, empower, and one day return.
- Application: Live every day with kingdom purpose, knowing the risen Jesus is both present through the Spirit and preparing to return.
