In this sermon from Colossians 2:6–15, we continue our Fully Alive series with a message on being rooted in Christ.
Paul reminds the church that we do not need “Jesus and” anything else in order to be saved. Not Jesus and tradition. Not Jesus and denomination. Not Jesus and ritual. Not Jesus and performance. Jesus is enough.
This message explores what it means to walk in Christ, be rooted and built up in Him, and resist anything that would take us captive—whether empty philosophy, human tradition, spiritual anxiety, or misplaced identity. In Christ, our sins are forgiven, our old life is buried, the powers that enslaved us are disarmed, and we are made fully alive.
If you’ve ever felt pressure to add something to Jesus, this message is a reminder: salvation is a gift, freedom is found in Christ, and fullness is found in Him alone.
