What if Jesus actually meant for us to live this way?
The Sermon on the Mount is one of the most familiar teachings in the Bible.
Love your enemies.
Turn the other cheek.
Do not worry about tomorrow.
Do not judge.
Pray for those who hurt you.
Seek first the Kingdom of God.
We know the words.
But what if Jesus was not simply giving us an impossible standard?
What if he was showing us what life can actually look like when we live under the reign of God?
The Jesus Way is a seven-week journey through Matthew 5–7, exploring how Jesus invites us into a new kind of life—one shaped by grace, holiness, trust, love, freedom, and obedience.
This is not about becoming more religious.
It is about becoming more like Jesus.
Seven Weeks. One Way of Life.
WEEK 1 — THE KINGDOM IS FOR NORMAL PEOPLE
Matthew 5:1–12
The Beatitudes announce the surprising good news that God’s Kingdom is available even to people the world would never call blessed.
The Kingdom is available to people like you.
WEEK 2 — SALT AND LIGHT
Matthew 5:13–16
Jesus does not call his people to withdraw from the world. He sends us into it as people whose lives make his Kingdom visible.
You are God’s Kingdom people in the world.
WEEK 3 — RIGHTEOUSNESS FROM THE INSIDE OUT
Matthew 5:17–48
Jesus is after more than outward behavior. He goes after the heart—our anger, desires, integrity, relationships, and even the way we respond to our enemies.
Kingdom righteousness transforms the heart.
WEEK 4 — WHO ARE YOU LIVING FOR?
Matthew 6:1–18
Jesus frees us from the exhausting need to perform for others and invites us into a life lived before the Father who sees in secret.
You do not have to live for human approval.
WEEK 5 — A LIFE WITHOUT FEAR
Matthew 6:19–34
Money, possessions, control, and anxiety all reveal where we place our trust.
Jesus teaches us to seek first the Kingdom, trust the Father, and stop letting tomorrow dominate today.
You can loosen your grip on possessions, control, and worry.
WEEK 6 — LIVING WITHOUT CONDEMNATION
Matthew 7:1–12
Jesus teaches us how to relate to others without becoming self-righteous, controlling, or condemning.
Kingdom people learn to love without condemnation.
WEEK 7 — ACTUALLY FOLLOWING JESUS
Matthew 7:13–27
Jesus ends the Sermon with a decision.
Two roads.
Two trees.
Two houses.
Two foundations.
Both builders hear the words of Jesus.
Only one builds his life on them.
The Jesus Way is not something to admire. It is something to live.
