Wellspring Welcomes Jeremy Myers as Part-Time Pastor of Discipleship

We are excited to announce that Jeremy Myers has accepted the role of Part-Time Pastor of Discipleship at Wellspring Church, beginning July 1.

As God continues to grow our church family, one of our greatest priorities is ensuring that people are not only attending church but becoming fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ. Jeremy’s role will help us take an important step forward in that mission.

Jeremy brings a heart for people, a passion for spiritual formation, and years of ministry experience. Many at Wellspring already know Jeremy through his involvement in our church, his leadership in Growth Groups, and his faithful ministry as a chaplain at Walnut Grove Correctional Facility. He is currently pursuing ordination in the Global Methodist Church and has demonstrated a deep commitment to making disciples both inside and outside the church.

As Pastor of Discipleship, Jeremy will work alongside Pastor Matt to strengthen Wellspring’s discipleship pathway. His primary responsibilities will include:

  • Equipping and encouraging Growth Group leaders and Sunday School teachers
  • Helping new members and guests become connected and integrated into the life of the church
  • Developing leaders and creating new opportunities for discipleship
  • Assisting in the pastoral care and spiritual formation of our congregation
  • Helping build systems that make it easier for every person at Wellspring to take their next step with Jesus

This new position reflects an important conviction at Wellspring: healthy churches don’t simply grow larger—they grow deeper. Our prayer is that every person who walks through our doors will find meaningful relationships, opportunities to serve, and a clear path toward becoming more like Christ.

Jeremy’s hiring also allows Pastor Matt to devote more time to preaching, teaching, leadership development, and strategic vision while ensuring that the discipleship ministries of the church continue to receive focused pastoral leadership.

Please join us in welcoming Jeremy and his family to this new season of ministry. We are grateful for God’s faithfulness and excited to see how He will continue to transform lives through the ministry of Wellspring Church.

“And what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful people, who will be able to teach others also.” — 2 Timothy 2:2
