November 3 | 6PM–8PM
Core Learning Resource: Christian Beliefs: Twenty Basics Every Christian Should Know (Revised Edition) by Wayne Grudem
Overview
Session 2, Essentials of Christian Doctrine for Teaching, equips participants with a clear and concise understanding of core Christian beliefs necessary for effective discipleship. This session focuses on the doctrines every disciple-maker should know and be able to communicate—such as the Trinity, salvation, Scripture, and the Church—ensuring sound, consistent, and theologically faithful teaching.
Primary Learning Outcomes
- Identify Core Doctrines of the Christian Faith. Learners will recognize and articulate the essential beliefs that form the foundation of Christian teaching, including the Trinity, salvation, Christology, and Scripture.
- Understand the Importance of Doctrinal Clarity in Discipleship. Participants will explore how sound doctrine undergirds faithful teaching and helps guard against confusion, error, and spiritual immaturity.
- Teach with Theological Clarity and Humility. Learners will develop the ability to communicate essential doctrines with precision and grace, fostering understanding without arrogance or division.
- Distinguish Between Essential and Non-Essential Doctrines. Participants will learn how to hold firm to the essentials of the faith while allowing room for humility and grace in areas of theological diversity.
