The Character of a Disciplemaker: Lessons from Barnabas

In this Bible study, we take a thematic look at the life of Barnabas in the book of Acts and explore the qualities that make someone a faithful disciplemaker. Though Barnabas was not one of the best-known figures in the early church, his encouragement, generosity, discernment, availability, humility, and Spirit-filled faithfulness had a world-changing impact—especially through his influence on Saul, who became the Apostle Paul. This study challenges us to ask how God might form in us the same kind of character so that we, too, can be faithful, available, and obedient disciplemakers.
