Wellspring Church Welcomes Tom Halford to the Staff Team

We are delighted to share that Tom Halford has joined the Wellspring Church staff team. Tom is not only a seasoned ministry leader, but also a longtime member of our Wellspring family, and we are grateful for the way God has brought his gifts and calling together with the needs of our church in this season.

A graduate of Asbury Theological Seminary, Tom brings decades of diverse ministry experience. Over the years, he has served as a missionary church planter in Colombia, South America, and in Arlington, Texas; as a pastor in both Texas and Mississippi; as a parachurch ministry leader in Kentucky; and as an administrator at a graduate theological school in Mississippi. His breadth of experience reflects a deep love for the church, a heart for discipleship, and a steady commitment to faithful leadership.

Tom and his wife, Jan, are charter members of Wellspring Church. Tom currently serves on the Wellspring Board, and Jan serves faithfully as pianist on the Worship Team. Their investment in the life of our church has been evident from the very beginning.

Married for 40 years, Tom and Jan are proud parents of three children and grandparents to seven grandchildren. Tom was born in Greenville, Mississippi, and grew up in Forest, Mississippi. They now make their home in Madison.

Pastor Matt Ayars shared his enthusiasm about Tom’s new role, saying, “Tom brings a rare combination of deep pastoral wisdom, broad ministry experience, and genuine love for the local church. Because Tom already knows and loves Wellspring so well, his leadership will strengthen what God is already doing among us. I’m deeply grateful for his willingness to serve in this new capacity.”

We are excited about this next chapter and look forward to the ways Tom’s wisdom, pastoral heart, and leadership will help strengthen Wellspring as we continue to grow in Christ together. Please join us in welcoming Tom into this new role and in praying for him and Jan as they step into this season of service.
