If Jesus is Lord, how should we respond?
Drawing from Acts 2 and Mark 1, this sermon explores four biblical commands given in response to the gospel:
Repent—turn around and release what keeps you from Christ.
Believe—place your trust, loyalty, and faith in Jesus.
Be baptized—publicly declare that you belong to him.
Follow—walk with Jesus and learn to live as he lived.
The gospel is the good news that Jesus came, died, rose, reigns, and is coming again. It is not enough to get that message “almost right.” The good news calls for a response that involves our entire lives.
Through memorable stories about a wedding-cake mistake, a monkey that refuses to release its prize, and a child leaping into her father’s arms, this message explains the difference between knowing facts about Jesus and entrusting yourself to him.
